Apples are painted to resemble their 17th century counterpart while the trajectory of an artificial sun is carefully considered against a legion of reflectors. This silent film observes how cast and crew work tirelessly to reimagine Johannes Vermeer's Girl Reading A Letter By An Open Window as a single-screen installation without ever reaching a result.
It was exhibited as part of the Framing Vermeer exhibition at Prinsenhof Museum in Delft, Netherlands from 2 May until 2 August 2015.
